Treviso Estate emerges from the tension between slope and structure — a hillside development in Kirkland, Washington, where the land is engaged rather than subdued. Three individual residences step along a shared street, each claiming its own position on the terrain, each a distinct composition yet legible as a family. Every home is organized as a three-storey section that descends with the hillside — garage and utility at grade, living spaces at the intermediate level, sleeping quarters above — producing a vertical rhythm that reads clearly from the street. The facade speaks in three materials: natural cedar board-and-batten at points of human scale, large-format white composite panel across the field of the elevation, and dark charcoal fiber cement anchoring the base. Generous layered glazing filters the surrounding Pacific Northwest forest throughout. If Treviso Estate speaks to you, let's design something just as grounded in its landscape.
